Time management

September


  • Research into the typical codes and conventions of different music videos
  • Research into music video genres and sub-genres
  • Research existing A level music videos and analyse them
  • Create a survey in order to gather information about our target audience 


October


  • Decide the genre of our music video
  • discuss possible song ideas for the music video
  • Create a draft storyboard 
  • Create a draft shot list
  • Begin considering casting options for the music video


November


  • Create a shooting schedule in preparation for the beginning of filming
  • Have a completed list of cast members for the music video
  • Complete a risk assessment for each filming day 
  • Begin creating filming logs in order to document our progress


December


  • Complete all filming in order to commence editing
  • Edit a first draft of the video
  • Gather and analyse feedback from our draft video 
  • Begin work on a final draft of our music video


January


  • Complete the final edit of our music video
  • Research into the codes and conventions of digipaks and magazine adverts
  • Begin research into existing digipaks 


February


  • Begin reasearch into the codes and conventions of magazine adverts 
  • Research existing A level and professional magazine adverts 
  • Create a draft of a magazine advert
  • Gather feedback from the final edit of our music video


March


  • Complete final draft of magazine advert
  • Present music video in media showcase and collect feedback from the audience 
  • begin to discuss distribution methods for our music video
