Today, we began filming the shots where the relationshiop between Josh's character and mine is shown. Due to availability, we had to film all of these shots over just one day, so we visited many different locations to do so.
Date: 2nd of December
Locations:
Josh's house- Pencoed
Woodland's field- Pencoed
The Common- Pencoed
Throughout these shots, we wanted to show the decline in both the relationship between the pair and also in my character's wellbeing. We did this by displaying the conventional features of a healthy relationship however, throughout these shots our characters are both dressed in dark, dull colours. This serves to symbolise the true lack of connection between the pair, despite their outwardly happy relationship.
In this shot, a relationship between mine and josh's character's is clearly established. We wished to portray a happy relationship to start. We used different lighting to do this. We did this by filming some of the happier shots outside. This ensured that the lighting in these shots was far brighter than the lighting used through the shots representing the hard times in the relationship.
This shot is used to represent the happier side of the couple's relationship. We wanted to portray the idea that the pair were once happy together. We have tried to show this by displaying a gradual decline in their relationship until they eventually decide to seperate. We have showed this dcline through the use of lighting and the mise-en-scene within the shots.

This last shot clearly shows this decline in the relationship. It is very clear through the shot that my character is unhappy, whilst Josh's character remains in the background unaware. This helps to set up this idea of my character's feelings being the main reason that the pair decide to seperate.
